I would like to take a little
time here to tell you about the wicks that I use in my candles.
I only use zinc core wicks , so the medal that you see in the
middle of the wicks are not lead. There is no
lead content in my wicks, it is zinc. Zinc is the
essential mineral that our bodies need to maintain proper
reproductive functions and in my experience is the better wick
to use to maintain that the candle burns evenly. |

I
also want to speak of the warning labels that I place on the
bottom of all my wicked candles because I believe these
labels are sometimes overlooked. Besides the basic safety issues
that should be followed about the candles I want to reiterate on
a subject that will help your
candles to burn cleaner. Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch
before lighting any candle and in between burning the candle. In
other words, after lighting your candle burn two to four hours
at the most and always trim the wick to 1/4 inch again before
you light the candle at another time. Trimming your wicks in
this manner will help to prevent smoking and soot build up.
Always burn your votives in a
votive holder of some type.

Please
do not use the lid of an apothecary jar candle to snuff out the
flame. Always let cool overnight before placing the lid back on
the candle and remember that water and wax do not mix, it will
ruin your candle... |
